I'm so sorry folks! Diamonds and Pearls was canceled this week due to a very urgent trip to the Newberry Library for some last minute research. It was fun, but I don't speak Latin, so that was kind of a waste. I did have some delicious escargot and spinach soup on the way home, and got to watch new co-host Amanda verbally assault some teenagers on the red line in my defense ("can't my poor friend sit down?") (I'm not that poor).
Anyway, tomorrow is the day that I'll finally introduce cousin/former co-host Reid to Spanish-class Lyndi at the Black Lips/Vivian Girls/Outer Minds show at the Logan Square Auditorium. Since I didn't get to play these songs for you on the radio this afternoon, please accept my apologies with some videos that you could have just as easily looked up on YouTube yourself.
I hope you'll tune in next week! It's the end of the semester so I'll be tired, but hopefully I'll still be able to play some neat songs for you (and give a recap of the show/intro).
